To work correctly (i.e. both watch TV and work on computer), 128 to 256 Mb of RAM is needed.

It's possible to use X11 only with 64 Mb but not less. With only 32 Mb RAM it is not possible to launch XFree86 / X.org. In that case, you can only use Linux / *BSD in the command line mode (This case is not interresting here, because XdTV needs X11).

Actually, most of the computers reach this minimum. All of these "Sample Configs" work with more than 200 Mb RAM.
