Record Options Explanations
Choose a Codec
Codec
Choose video codec between divx, xvid and ffmpeg.
Video Options
W-Modul
Modulo value that will be use to every modifications of Width parameter. We suggest you to use a multiple of 16.
Width
Video width that will be recorded.
H-Modul
Modulo value that will be use to every modifications of Height parameter. We suggest you to use a multiple of 16.
Height
Video height that will be recorded.
Bitrate (kbit/s)
Video bitrate in kbits/s. The higher it is, the higher the quality will be. (but file size will also be bigger).
Fps
Choose this parameter to synchronize video and sound when you launch an AVI record. FPS = Frame per second.
Quality
Encoded video quality. (The higher it is, the higher the CPU load will be).
Min Quantizer
Quantizer minimum: Smaller the quantizer is, higher the quality will be. These parameters help us to modify quality during the recording. If we want a stable quality we have to fix MIN equal to MAX.
Max Quantizer
Quantizer maximum: The higher the quantizer is, the smaller the quality will be. These parameters help us to modify quality during the recording. If we want a stable quality we have to fix MIN equal to MAX.
Other Options
Display Frames Display frames on screen during the recording.
Record Subtitles Allow ot not recording a subtitle file during an AVI recording.
Change Channel Allow or not changing TV channel during an AVI recording.
Schedule a Record with Xterm, At & Corn
Launch a shell script to schedule a record. You could choose the day, the time of the next records and more. Use AT & Cron applications.
Preview a Record with Mplayer by default
Preview the last recording film.
Path, Path/Name.avi or /dev/null (Streaming)
Browse to select a Path...
Open a GUI to select which name and path is used when a record is launched.
Open Audio Recorder Options...
Popup Audio Recorder Options Window.
Open Streaming Server Options...
Popup Streaming Recorder Options Window.
Open Main Options...
Popup Main Options Window.
Apply, Save & Close (Shift+S)
Apply & Save your choosen options & Close the Video Record Options GUI.


Record Audio

Record Options Explanations
Audio Options
Audio Buffer Size
Sound buffer size used during the recording.
Compress Audio
Sound compression On/Off (If you use this parameter you'll use more CPU power).
Bitrate Mode
When you launch a record, it's possible to choice an audio MP3 record with constant bitrate (CBR) or with variable bitrate (VBR). If you select CBR, it's not possible to modify the "MP3 VBR Quality" parameter. If you select VBR you could modify the "MP3 Bitrate".
MP3 Bitrate
MP3 bitrate used for sound recording (in kbits/s).
MP3 VBR Quality
If you select CBR, this parameter help you to choose the MP3 audio bitrate in kbits/s.
Stereo Mode
You could select the recorded audio in two mode: stereo or momo.
MP3 Quality
Level of MP3 quality (The higher it is, the higher the CPU load will be).
Max Gap A/V (ms) Choose this parameter to synchronize video and sound when you launch an AVI record (maximum gap between sound and video at the end of the AVI file).
Delay A/V (ms)    
Set recording delay between audio and video in seconds.
Audio Fragments
Set the number of audio fragments.
Audio size Fragments
Set the size of the audio fragment.
Open Video Recorder Options...
Popup Video Recorder Options Window.
Open Streaming Server Options...
Popup Streaming Recorder Options Window.
Open Main Options...
Popup Main Options Window.
Apply, Save & Close (Shift+S)
Apply & Save your choosen options & Close the Audio Record Options GUI.

Streaming Server Activation
Enables http export of the recording (XdTV will act as a http stream server).
Choose an Http Port
Choose an HTTP Port
Set the port of the http stream.
Start Streaming Server
Start the streaming server.
Open Video Recorder Options...
Popup Video Recorder Options Window.
Open Audio Recorder Options...
Popup Audio Recorder Options Window.
Open Main Options...
Popup Main Options Window.
Apply & Save (Shift+S)
Apply & Save your choosen options.
Close
Close the Streaming Record Options GUI.
